With a personal Google account, you can only use general notifications. Go to Tools > Notification settings and select your preferred conditions to receive alerts.

This helps you stay updated on edits without checking the document manually.

Conditional Notifications (Google Workspace)

Conditional notifications are available only for Google Workspace (business) accounts. You can add rules so that alerts are sent only when specific cells or ranges are modified.

For example, you can receive an email only if a certain value changes, making collaboration more efficient and reducing unnecessary emails.

Tip: If you don’t see the option in your personal account, consider using a Workspace account for advanced team collaboration.
