Summary: According to the New York Times, London’s world famous luxury retailer, Harrods, and its billionaire owner Mohammed Fayed, have been sued by three British teenagers for sexual assault. The claim was made on behalf of a 17-year old female employee of the store who was asked by two of Fayed’s sons, Assim and Dodi, to strip. Another 15-year old female worker was allegedly groped by Assim. The “intimate and humiliating acts” took place over a timeframe of several months from December 2009 to Spring 2010. This is now poised to become a significant sexual harassment and assault case given the stature of Harrods and its ownership by the British royal family’s friend and business associate. The UK law firm acting for the victims will be Schillings, but who will be deemed responsible for the debauchery that occurred?
